I love the psychotherapy work that I do.  For the last 27 years I have been a witness to the courage, tenacity, and creativity of my clients as they strive to improve their personal lives and relationships in their families.

 I take a wholistic and client centered approach to counseling, walking with clients through  the  process of tuning in to their heart, soul, mind and body. ​

I will incorporate expressive arts,  movement, functional nutrition and spiritual components into sessions at the client’s  request.  I enjoy working with children and teens as they gain tools for emotional resilience and navigate key developmental stages. Before becoming a therapist I was an educator for 20 years. The combination of my skills as a teacher, mom of 3 adult kids and therapist give me the ability to build rapport with kids and support them well as they gain resilience skills and grow towards their goals. I integrate work with the parents and bring a wholistic approach to treatment.

In my counseling practice, I work with individuals, couples, and families.  ​​

My theoretical orientation is rooted in reality theory, which basically takes an account of where you are now and where you plan to go in the future. My theoretical model is a strong foundation in cognitive behavioral therapy and working to get to the source of the problem. 

I believe in a brief solution-focused style that will enable us as a team to work systematically to get at the problem at hand or the symptoms that have brought you to counseling.

When we experience trauma, life stressors, or times of crisis it is common to find ourselves struggling with anxiety, depression, or relationship issues. Often, we hold deep beliefs about ourselves or others that do not serve us. These beliefs may hold us back from our best life. I work to facilitate healing in those who are struggling to find peace with themselves and in their relationships.

It is not uncommon for individuals and couples to experience significant trauma or difficult life circumstances. My passion is helping those in these situations to find healing and strength. I seek to help my clients, who range from teenagers to adults, individuals, couples, and families, to find strength, balance, and healing.​​

It seems the harder you try, the more disconnected you feel. Walls go up - you feel hurt and alone. You lose hope for a closer, more secure relationship. Tyler is committed to helping you end this negative cycle. By getting below the surface of behavior, he helps couples bring awareness to the deep, underlying emotional needs within themselves. A new bond is formed, where each partner is able to feel safe, supported, desired, and loved.

My counseling focus is meeting individuals where they are and facilitating healing, connection, strength, and balance. I am committed to assisting clients with self-connection and nurturing healthy relationships with themselves and others.
