NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS

When people experience trauma, severe life stressors, or times of crisis it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel.  Often, we hold deep beliefs about ourselves and others that do not serve us. We can find ourselves struggling to find happiness and peace.  I work to facilitate healing in those who have been through traumatic experiences, as well as those struggling to find peace with themselves and in their relationships.  I believe our relationships affect our lives in nearly every aspect. Healthy relationships are born from healthy individuals. Therefore, I am passionate about assisting in the process of growth and healing on both an individual and relational level.  I enjoy working with couples to identify what their goals are and work towards harmony. I am experienced in working with trauma, post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, attachment problems, betrayal trauma, infidelity, communication issues, and transitions.
I work from a systems perspective, which means that I consider all the various influences in a client’s life.   I use several different modalities that I tailor to the specific client’s needs. I have training in EMDR and have found it to be a powerful tool for healing.  EMDR is a technique that allows the client to reprocess memories in a way that reduces the emotional and physical reactions to them. When memories are not fully processed, they can influence our choices, reactions, feelings, beliefs, etc.  This in turn can affect our relationships and keep us from experiencing life in a healthy enjoyable way.
I find balance by playing volleyball, skiing, mountain biking, reading, attending shows, traveling, and watching my kids play sports.  My relationships provide me with the peaks and valleys of life.

My husband and I love to spend time together and make it a priority. Combined, we have eight kids and enjoy each of their unique personalities and life adventures.
Our kids have taught me much in life’s university. Being their mom is a privilege and a challenge. I have discovered that not all mothers are the same, just as not all children are the same. Finding what works for each of us is a lifelong pursuit and it may not look like everyone else.  I enjoy my kids and we have made many memories over the years. Each one provides me with a unique relationship that I treasure and learn from.
